On a warm, sunny day, we visited Commercial Nursery Rob Beentjes to admire the impressive long stems of the Alliums. On arrival, we were welcomed by a sea of purple hues that contrasted beautifully with the green landscape. Entering the fields felt like walking through an oasis of purple splendour.

the masterpiece of alliums

Alliums attract immediate attention with their intense purple colour. Their flowers, as much as 20 cm in diameter, consist of some 75 delicate florets that combine to form an impressive sphere. These flowers turn any bouquet into a masterpiece and are a feast for the eyes.

the growth and flowering process of alliums

During our visit, we saw the different stages of Allium cultivation. From delicate buds to flowers in full bloom; each field had its own story. Rob Beentjes and his team nurture the Alliums with passion. This makes for strong, healthy flowers that enhance our flower wholesale offering.
