The greenhouse of Wijnen Anthuriums in the North Brabant town of Asten (NL) looks like a tropical rainforest. A nice temperature, 80% humidity and bright green leaves as far as the eye can see. The butterfly-like, brightly colored anthuriums that boldly poke their heads above this complete the illusion of a tropical rainforest. Organic anthurium cultivation

Anthuriums are grown at Wijnen to the maximum extent possible organically. The nursery’s two greenhouses are both equipped with solar panels, generating electricity sustainably. Due to high quality conditions, dehumidifiers are also used. This benefits the quality in the form of stronger flowers. Together, these components ensure more sustainable cultivation and higher quality of these beautiful flowers.

Anthuriums are tropical flowers, the advantage of which is that they guarantee a long shelf life even in warmer temperatures. The perfect flowers for a summer bouquet therefore. Did you know that anthuriums are even one of the longest lasting cut flowers! After they are cut by hand, they have a vase life of an average of 3 weeks!
